Michael
Cortez
|
|
Michael is proud to perform in his
first production with the “Third Dimension Group”. Hailing
from the south side, Michael has performed with the Beverly Theater
Guild, Oak Lawn Park District and Palos Village Players. A few of
his productions include: Cabaret, The Music Man, The Will Rogers
Follies, Damn Yankees and Grease. His most memorable role was “Skye
Masterson” in Guys and Dolls. Michael is currently studying
The Meisner Technique at ActOne Studios in Chicago. He would like
to thank his family and friends for their love and undying support.

Deadra
Nelson-Mason

The performing arts have been apart
of Deadra's spiritual and physical being since the age of five.
This D.C. native credits her nurturing as an artist to Deeply Rooted
Productions, Professor Iris Rosa (Indiana University), Ellington
School of the Arts, & the D.C. Youth Ensemble. She has had the
opportunity to perform nationally and international at such venues
as: New York's Lincoln Center, various Caribbean Resorts, and the
Efua T. Sutherland Theatre in Ghana. Memorable experiences include:
the role of Sophie Washington in Flyin' West, choreographing Once
On This Island, performing at the International Conference of Blacks
in Dance, and entertaining the mentally handicapped annually with
the I.U. Afro-American Dance Company. As an evolving artist, Deadra
recognizes that the support of her family, (especially Mom, Latrice,
Dad, & Abdul), is invaluable. Al humdu Allah! |
Angela
Rose Ruiz

|
Angela Ruiz is a talented actor and
dancer currently attending the University of Chicago where she pursues
a B.A. in English and Political Science. She has dance experience
in Hip-Hop, Tap, and Jazz, and has also trained in music theory
and piano at the Merit Music Program. Along with being
very involved in musical theater throughout elementary and high
school, she has also had professional theater experience in children’s
theater and the circus arts. Angela Ruiz loves to teach and finds
that her passion for the arts continues to lead her into the heart
of the classroom. She finds that the intersection between academic
education and the 'arts' especially important in the enrichment
of creative thought in our education system. Currently she teaches
Hip-Hop and Jazz dance classes through multiple programs in the
city, as well as a drama class through the Chicago Public Schools.
She has future plans to start a fine arts program that provides
artistic youths with teaching experience in the field of their talents.
Angela Ruiz has been blessed and is grateful to God for his divine
love and for the love and support that she has received from her
family and friends! |

Monroe Emanual Flowers Jr.

|
Monroe Flowers is a Chicago born native,
raised on the south side. He was exposed to the dance culture
at an early age. Hip-Hop, Urban Styles & Forms, and Jazz
stand as his strengths in dance. For seven years he performed
and worked with the world famous South Shore Drill Team and Performing
Arts Ensemble. He has recieved a host of recognition for being
a top officer for four year , a leading team captain for four years,
a well trained instructor, and dynamic choreographer for the team.
To expand his technique and style of dancing, he attended Columbia
College in Chicago majoring in Musical Theater. He has been
trained in Ballet , Modern, Styles & Forms, and Jazz.
He has also worked with local artists such as Sherri Hudson, a former
Chicago "Luvabulls" Cheerleader, on choreography; BLU,
a group of rappers, and the singing group Pure Melody. |
Piera Jenna Trotter

Pierra Jenna Trotter has been trained
in dance for 14 years. She has performed in numerous states throughout
the United States. Pierra has also been trained in singing, acting,
modeling and music. She attends Gwendolyn Brooks College Preparatory
Academy where she is an honors student. Pierra has been blessed
and thanks God for family, friends, and her many accomplishments.

Marchello Lee
|
|
Born on the south side of Chicago,
Marchello Lee's acting career began at the age of 15. After
appearing in his first CHEERIOS commercial, Marchello decided to
attend Columbia College as a theater major. While attending
Columbia College, Marchello started performing for the 3rd Dimension
Performance Group as an actor and dancer. He captured the
audience after staring in various musicals for the 'Chocolate Chips'
Theater Company. As a dance, acting, and set-design instructor
for the West-Humboldt Park Center for performing Arts, Marchello's
dream is to persist in the Arts by building a performing arts center
for young adults. |
Star Marschke

Star was been born and raised in the
southwest suburbs of Chicago and has recently graduated with honors
from Columbia College in Chicago. She dabbles in many areas of the
arts with the last three years in the world of dance. Star enjoys
various styles of dance which include; hip-hop, African, Latin and
Jazz. She has danced in productions that range from gospel concerts
to fashion shows, and is excited to be a part of the cast for Torn
The Musical. |
Daniel Smith |
|
Daniel Smith is a very talented
performer from Calumet Park Illinois. His original dream was to
become one of the world's greatest martial artists. Other well-known
martial artists informed him that ballet would improve his martial
arts skills. So in February of 1998, he enrolled in a ballet class
at Dancin' Feet Dance Studio in Tinley Park. His first real performance
came to him in July of 1998 in Walt Disney World, where his love
for dance began to blossom. He has training in Ballet, Tap, Jazz,
Swing, and Hip-hop. He has been one of the studio's elite dancers
and has competed in numerous competitions throughout Illinois.

Lutha (Lucy) Maura
|
|
Lucy is from the South side of Chicago.
Torn is her first professional production. She would like to thank
God and the 3rd Dimension Group for allowing her to be a part of
this show. She would also like to thank her son Kenneth for his
patience and support throughout the duration of the musical. |
Shannon Gallon
|
|
Shannon Gallon is a Rap artist and
R&B singer. She has acted with several theater companies performances
including Choclate Chip theater, Music Theater Workshop, and the
Black Ensemble . She has done work in films such as the Negotiator,
and Early Edition. |
