About Ted Williams and the 3rd Dimension Performance Group

Writer and Producer Ted Williams brings youth, creativity, and unrivaled vision to Chicago's growing arts community. Williams, who holds degrees in Public Policy Studies from the University of Chicago (M.P.P. '02), and Rutgers University (B.A. '98) began his performing arts career in Chicago over 15 years ago.

Since that time he has done commercial and video work for McDonald's Corporation (Black History Celebration with Tom Joyner), Six Flags Great America, Federal Express, and Jeweler's Mutual Insurance ( aired nationally on FOX-TV). His stage credits include the national tour of the gospel musical I'm Saved, Six Degrees of Separation, The African Cinderella, and Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. He has also worked extensively as a dancer, choreographer, and dance instructor in Chicago, New Jersey, New York, Indiana, and Washington D.C.

He founded the 3rd Dimension Performance Group in 1999 and promptly began touring the troupe throughout the Midwest, producing dance and murder mystery dinner theater productions in a myriad of settings. Since then, Williams has kept a loyal and ever-increasing audience by directing his performance goup with fervor and passion. Accomplishments of the 3rd Dimension Group are:

  • Featured on ABC channel 7 special on Bronzeville's First Bed and Breakfast, February 2002.
  • Ongoing performance contract with Bronzeville's First Bed and Breakfast (Chicago) since 2000.
